Javier Revert Simeta

'Almost forgotten' this very rare varietal, Arcos grown on limestone soils outside Valencia. It is a late ripening varietal with the 2018 harvest beginning on the 10th of October. The highly regarded Javi Revert ferments the wine in cement before ageing it in large used casks. Luis Gutiérrez of the Wine Advocate awarded this vintage 95+/100 Points. It is what I would describe as a 'food wine' and easily paired with rare beef, young lamb, duck breast.....GERARD MAGUIRE
