The Scala family have been grape growers since the 17th Century, but formed there own Azienda in the 1940's to produce and sell there own Ciro wines. An organic vineyard, the Scala family have always been proponents of low intervention and their wines are bright and engaging.
This Rosso is made from the Gaglioppo grape, which sits stylistically somewhere between Nebbiolo and Pinot Noir. Rustic but with crunchy red fruit, a touch of spice and a beautiful lively freshness. STSWine
