Madman Fabien Jouves recently took the plunge into some whites and oranges to further piss off the regulators in France. This white is made as a massive field blend of Savignon Gris, Chardonnay, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Colombard, Ugni Blanc and probably other stuff as well - who the F. knows with Fabien. Like all of them this is organic and biodynamic, hand made without any chemicals or intervention.
I must admit to some trepidation when opening this. Were we really going to get something or learn something out of this? WTF would I want to drink a blend of whites from this sun baked region? What you get is a superb wine and irrefutable proof of his talent as a wine maker. There's floral aromatics, rich tropical texture and a backbone of acidity that races across the palate from entry to finish. STSWine
