Translated directly (from French) Eau De Vie means "water of life". In appearance, it is clear (as the name suggests) and is essentially a distilled beverage that is made from fruit other than grapes. The crazy guys at Amiel went ahead and used grapes. I suppose this is a wild Grenache Brandy, maybe a vermouth? When it comes to understanding these 2 lads: I give up! is a common refrain. They are quite frankly mad geniuses and they always make great gear. STSWine
